In March, Mags and I visited Reykjavik, Iceland. As well as exploring the beautiful, primeval landscapes to be found in this magical country, we also wandered around the city, absorbing its ambience, history and vibrant colours. One of the many places we visited was Sangitamiya music shop (www.sangitamiya.is/en/), within which is the most amazing cornucopia of musical instruments, sourced from all corners of the globe. Amongst other purchases we made was a beautiful wooden sansula, a member of the kalimba family - its sounds will forever remind us of our trip.

The three pieces posted here are pure improvisations, with Mags playing our sansula, and me providing accompaniment using a variety of sounds from my Roland Juno Di synthesizer.
